Filming day coming soon.
Is abstraction a dead end? Argue if you like; the rule of "No identifiable/nameable subject" has been very liberating for many artists for many decades. Sometimes a very confining space can be the cause of great liberation. Perhaps "depiction" is the dead end. Many people are spending money and effort on making photographs look like painting with software. And now that digital photography has become the chicken in every pot, abstraction will rise again. I imagine some effort will go into making the video appear less real, stylized, remote, contrary. Or perhaps the video will become crisper, sharper, more confining and refining than the real object. I am looking forward to this.
